Telespazio is taking part in “Drones and advanced air mobility: flying into the future, between challenges and opportunities”

27 February 2024

Next Wednesday, 28 February, Telespazio will be among the participants in the meeting “Drones and advanced air mobility: flying into the future, between challenges and opportunities”, organised by the Drones and Advanced Air Mobility Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano, which Telespazio has been a partner of since 2021.

Telespazio will participate in the “The professional drone market: demand” panel with Pier Francesco Cardillo, Head of Commercial Development RPAS and UTM, who will present the main projects related to the drone world that the company is involved in, with the company's proposal based on the T-DROMES® integrated offer.

In recent years, Telespazio has led and taken part in numerous initiatives focused on the operational use of drones in the field of geo-information, for the monitoring of urban areas (such as the S-EDGE project), but also for use in agriculture, as in the case of the Hazelnuts project in Viterbo (supported by Lazio Innova), or in France, for the identification of Datura with the Geoadventis project, and in the monitoring of linear infrastructures with new testing for Long-Range flight in BVLOS mode (Beyond Visual Line Of Sight).

Telespazio, thanks to its proprietary T-DROMES ® platform, enables the integrated management of geo-information and telecommunication services based on TPZ-Air 100 proprietary technology, in a large-scale industrialised way. T-DROMES ® offers the possibility of organising all the process necessary for the creation of professional flights to allow the end user to make the most of the versatile use of RPAS and the interaction with the analysis algorithms, thus maximising the benefits of the technology.

For Telespazio, drone-related services represent the natural continuation and integration with space services that have always been at the centre of the company's activities and are one of the main drivers for the development of the services offered in this constantly evolving sector.

The analysis of the fused data from drones, which offer a hyper-local view, and satellites, useful for a broader view (albeit at high and medium resolution), optics and radar, are the primary sources to feed the Digital Twins under development, which will be able to provide a complete, updated and detailed view of the territory. Telespazio's objective is to create an acquisition and analysis process that offers the creation of the necessary indicators, enhancing the economic and operational benefits for customers while supporting a sustainable use of space and technological resources.
