Procurement Process

Telespazio’s buying of goods / works and services is broken down by Goods Category (GC), and is ensured:

  • By the Procurement Department for “core” GCs specific to the Company’s business.

  • By Leonardo Global Solutions (LGS) that takes care of the common GCs procurement and provides procurement activity support services, for all the Companies in the Leonardo Group (Purchases web portal).

The basic goal is to reduce operating costs, rationalise and control expenditure, as well as ensure the management and efficiency of the procurement process, in full compliance with the quality requirements for the suppliers, sought by the in-house requesting bodies. This is done by means of a strongly integrated supply chain with our suppliers as well, who are strategic partners for Telespazio, directly involved in creating value for the Company.

For this reason, Telespazio asks suppliers for specific commitments and apply stringent requirements of a professional, economic/financial, ethical/legal, social, and environmental nature, checked at the pre-qualification stage, and monitored throughout the supply relationship.

All phases of the selection process and relations with the supplier, are managed via the web Portal managed by LGS, thereby guaranteeing transparency and traceability of information.

Telespazio is part of LEAP 2020, Leonardo S.p.A.’s new programme for all Italian and International supplier companies who work with the Group.
