#T-TeC 2024

On January 28, 2025, at the 17th European Space Conference in Brussels, the winners of the sixth edition of #T-TeC were announced. #T-TeC - Telespazio Technology Contest is the Leonardo’s and Telespazio's open innovation competition dedicated to young STEM students from universities around the world, with the aim of promoting innovation in the space sector.

The Winners

The #T-TeC 2024 edition saw a record number of participants, with 29 proposals received from 26 universities from 10 different countries, for a total of 114 participants. Also this year, winners received cash prizes and the opportunity to turn their ideas into real startups by participating in acceleration and pre-incubation tracks that will help them bringing their projects to the market.

The two categories of the competition were Idea, for projects in the early stages of development, and Prototype, reserved to more mature projects, in which participants presented advanced or working prototypes ready for testing and further development.

The teams participating in the 2024 edition of #T-TeC were able to measure themselves against seven different macro-themes related to the space sector and, in particular, to all the areas in which the companies of the Leonardo Group are already active, from sustainability in space and on Earth to Earth observation systems and geo-information services, space exploration, space domain awareness, the circular economy of space and in-orbit services. A mix of innovative topics that highlighted the strong potential impact the solutions presented could also have on sustainability.
