Telespazio and e-GEOS take part in World Satellite Business Week

11 September 2023

As from Monday 11 September, Telespazio and e-GEOS will be in Paris for World Satellite Business Week (WSBW), one of the world's leading Space Economy events.

Every year, WSBW brings more than one thousand leading figures in this sector to the French capital to discuss debate the future of the world’s space industry in a week of appointments and round tables.

Telespazio will be present at WSBW in two different round tables.

The first, entitled “Strategies & Challenges for leading Service Providers”, is scheduled to take place at 1:55 pm on 12 September and will feature, among others, Alessandro Caranci, Telespazio’s Senior Vice President for Satellite Communication.

The meeting will offer an opportunity to discuss the new challenges that service providers are called upon to face at this time of major evolution in satellite telecommunications technologies, including the world’s new needs post-Covid, the arrival of new low-orbit constellations, the verticalisation of satellite operators, through to the progressive and inevitable integration between terrestrial and satellite networks.

The round table will highlight the main strengths of Telespazio’s offering in the field of satellite communications. Indeed, the company is serving increasingly as a benchmark operator in the satcom field, adopting an “agnostic” approach to the choice of satellites and technologies offered to its B2B and B2G customers. Telespazio also aims to expand its position as a pan-regional service provider through even stronger growth in Europe and South America.

The second event will take place on 14 September at 8:50 am and will see Paolo Minciacchi, CEO of e-GEOS, participating in the round table entitled “Leading EO Businesses Sharing Strategic Views”, dedicated to the field of Earth observation and geoinformation.

e-GEOS, a joint venture between ASI and Telespazio, is one of Europe’s leading companies in this field, achieving important milestones over the last year both within the framework of the Italian constellation IRIDE, financed by the Italian government with funds of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and coordinated by ESA and ASI, and in terms of emergency management, where it confirmed its leadership in the Rapid Mapping service of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS) of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.
