Telespazio, with Paolo Nespoli, is presenting “Spazio: la sfida del presente” at the “Più Libri Più Liberi” trade show

04 December 2023

On 8th December, at 17:30, at the “Più Libri Più Liberi” trade show, Telespazio will present “Spazio: la sfida del presente”, a book born from a project of Telespazio and the SEE Lab of SDA Bocconi university, written by an American journalist, David W. Brown, and published by HOEPLI.

The astronaut Paolo Nespoli and the Telespazio Innovation Officer, Marco Brancati, will be at the meeting and will discuss with Emilio Cozzi, a journalist and populariser, the main topics of the book, which is dedicated to a sustainable future in space and on Earth.

While humankind is pondering on the environmental and human balances on the planet, space research has been enjoying a golden age that has led to experiencing space like never before.

For all the space ambitions of agencies, governments and private companies to come to fruition, an essential condition must be met: human activities in space must be sustainable and the mistakes made on Earth must not be repeated.

“Spazio: la sfida del presente” addresses these topics through a narrative section and a number of interviews with prominent international experts, including Paolo Nespoli himself. It explains, with a popularising but exhaustive approach, every topic addressed, giving a voice to the main players of this fascinating frontier of humankind’s adventure.

Più Libri Più Liberi is the Italian national trade show for small and medium-sized publishers, promoted by the Associazione Italiana Editori [Italian Publishers’ Association], held in Rome in December. Since 2017, the event venue has been the Roma Convention Center - La Nuvola, in the EUR district.

The appointment for the presentation of “Spazio: la sfida del presente”, is at 17:30 in the SALA VEGA Hall of the Nuvola centre. Entry is guaranteed until all seats have been taken. The trade show’s entry ticket is required to attend this event.
