The companies of the Leonardo Group will play a key role at NSE 2024 (New Space Economy European Expoforum), which will take place from December 16-18 in Rome at the Fiera di Roma. The event, a major gathering for the European space ecosystem, offers a significant opportunity to explore business and innovation in the era of the New Space Economy.

Telespazio will be present alongside e-GEOS and Thales Alenia Space at a shared 36 m² stand located in Pavilion 2, Stand B2 C1. The exhibition space will showcase the innovative solutions and projects developed by the three companies in the space sector, with a focus on advanced technologies, sustainability, and open innovation.

During the event, representatives from Leonardo, Telespazio, and e-GEOS will share their expertise and vision in key moments of the programme. On December 16, coinciding with National Space Day, Massimo Comparini, Managing Director of Leonardo’s Space Business Unit, will give a keynote speech at 4:15 PM, offering an in-depth analysis of the challenges and prospects for Italy’s space economy in a global context.

At 5:00 PM, Ezio Bussoletti, President of e-GEOS, and Simonetta Di Pippo, Director of SEELab at SDA Bocconi, will discuss business opportunities in the New Space Economy era. Moderated by journalist Mariapia Ebreo, the two experts will share their perspectives on the strategic value of collaboration between institutions and businesses to tackle new sector challenges.

At 5:30 PM, Marco Brancati, SVP of Leonardo, along with Giovanni Campolo of Thales Alenia Space and Chiara Selmi of Leonardo, will explore industrial initiatives supporting innovation in the space sector. The panel will highlight projects such as the Telespazio Technology Contest (#T-TeC), which has just completed its project selection phase and will award the winners of its sixth edition at the end of January.

On the third day, Elena Francioni, Head of Sales at e-GEOS, will participate in the panel "Our Planet From Space: 25 Years of Monitoring Geohazards," organized by INGV. The discussion will focus on satellite monitoring of georesources and natural hazards, emphasizing the impact of 25 years of space-based observations.
