MARTCINEMA at the Riccione Cinema Festival

Riccione  04 July 2016

On July 5th-8th, Telespazio will be taking part in the Riccione professional Cinema Festival, presenting the latest evolution of the MARTCinema option.

This festival held in the city of Riccione is Italy's summer trade show for the cinematographic sector. Exhibitors and visitors will include traders, cultural associations, the press, the main Italian and international film companies (who will be giving advance showings of the films they will be releasing in the forthcoming season) and the industry providing technical innovations to support cinemas.

Telespazio will be present as part of the technological innovation sector, providing satellite transmission of digital film content. Telespazio will be presenting the latest technical evolutions to its MARTCinema platform. This refers in particular to the extended satellite network and the integrated multimedia platform used to manage and transfer DCP (Digital Cinema Packages), films and trailers, in a safe and stable manner all over Europe.

Telespazio's Fucino Space Centre manages multicast distribution of the DCP digital content to connected cinemas. A dedicated "CineAdmin" portal is provided in addition to the service, making cinema managers better able to handle digital keys - KDM Key Delivery Massage - for theatre scheduling.

During 2016 the platform has been enhanced, giving further reductions in film transmission times. Big international film companies have chosen to use MARTCinema, considering it to be stable, safe and of high quality.
