#1: “What are satellites for?"

At 9pm on Wednesday 14 April Telespazio's T-Talks went on air. T-TALK is a monthly live transmission on the company digital channels devoted to technological innovation and space.

Science journalist Letizia Davoli has hosted the first episode, with guest appearances by Luca Tremolada, data journalist and science and technology expert at Il Sole 24 Ore, Emanuele Menietti, science journalist at Il Post, and Lucia Luzietti, head of the e-GEOS Emergency team.

The title of Telespazio's first T-Talk has been “What are satellites for?” and has introduced the audience to the world of space services and the impact that these activities are having on the Earth and all our lives.

T-Talks are part of several initiatives launched by Telespazio to celebrate its 60 years of activity. The company was founded in 1961, just four years after the launch of Sputnik and a few months after the first human orbital space flight by Yuri Gagarin. Telespazio is today one of the leading operators in the space services sector and looks to the future with the same pioneering spirit as in the early years, ready to take on the upcoming challenges of mankind's adventure in space.
