Telespazio and OneWeb to jointly showcase their partnership for delivering OneWeb services to government customers during Eurosatory 2022, which kicks off today in Paris.

At Eurosatory, the premier international defence and security exhibition, Telespazio and OneWeb will demonstrate the capabilities and the benefits made possible by their partnership.

Telespazio and OneWeb will offer customers a range of services made possible through OneWeb’s secure, resilient, high-performance connectivity and spanning sectors including Civil Government, Public Safety, and Defence.  Together alongside user terminal manufacturer, Kymeta, OneWeb and Telespazio will also showcase demonstrations of the innovative flat electronically-steered user terminal jointly developed by Kymeta and OneWeb.

Telespazio and OneWeb's partnership began in 2017 through a collaboration to host its ground stations at the Scanzano Space Center in Sicily. Since then, the site has grown from four antennas to now 14, making Scanzano one of OneWeb's key operational gateways in Southern Europe. In addition, earlier this year, OneWeb and Telespazio broke ground on a new gateway site as well in Brazil.

“Satellite communications market is experiencing a major transformation, particularly with the arrival of the high-performance services based on LEO constellations. To anticipate these changes, we have been working with OneWeb for several months. Today we are extremely proud and excited being able to provide our customers with the first ultrahigh-speed satellite communication services at low latency. We are convinced that thanks to this successful partnership, these new LEO services will demonstrate unprecedented performance promoting new fields of application and complementing the operational capabilities of our government and military customers”.

Corinne Mailles, Deputy CEO at Telespazio France.

These partnerships exemplify OneWeb’s and Telespazio’s deep partnership and continued focus on delivering unrivalled experiences for customers with high-speed, low-latency connectivity that can meet the needs of both the private sector and government users including military, police, fire, search and rescue, border security and maritime safety and defence.
