On the opening day, 27 January, the Conference will feature contributions from several representatives of the three organizations, who will be involved in discussions on industrial competitiveness, the resilience of the European space sector, and the evolution of Earth observation services.
Massimo Claudio Comparini, Managing Director of Leonardo’s Space Division, will speak during the 1st Plenary Session (Gold Hall), joining the panel “Space Competitiveness and Readiness: A Make-or-Break Decade Ahead”, starting at 10:40.
He will be followed by Gabriele Pieralli, Chief Executive Officer of Telespazio, who will take part in the 2nd Plenary Session (Gold Hall), in the panel “Europe’s Space Industrial Base: Scaling Production, Resilience, and Economic Security”, starting at 12:00.
During the morning, Milena Lerario, Chief Executive Officer of e-GEOS, will participate in the panel “Evolving Needs and Capabilities for Earth Observation”, scheduled in the Silver Hall starting at 11:45.
Also on 27 January, starting at 15:20, a roundtable dedicated to the Moonlight Programme will be held under the title “A Lunar Communication and Navigation Infrastructure: the Moonlight Initiative”. The discussion will focus on the development of the European lunar communication and navigation infrastructure designed to support future exploration missions. For its implementation, Telespazio is leading a European consortium, coordinating the design of satellite navigation and communication systems as well as the management of ground infrastructure.
Speakers at the session will include Nicola Pizzolorusso, Vice President of Strategic Planning, Scenarios and New Initiatives at Telespazio, and Cristina Valente, Head of the ESA/ASI Market Unit at Telespazio, together with representatives from ASI, ESA, and NASA.
