The event, which brings together the leading representatives of space agencies and international space industry, will host the presentation of the progress of the existing European Union space programmes, including EGNOS, Galileo and Copernicus, and strategies will be discussed to meet the growing international competition.
In Brussels, the new initiatives necessary for the development of space applications and services in Europe will also be illustrated. In particular the new challenges in the field of satellite telecommunications, and the growing role of services and infrastructure for security and defence operations will be discussed.
