Love Planet Earth 2024

In 2024, the sixteenth edition of the Telespazio and e-GEOS "Love Planet Earth" calendar offers us, through twelve images from the Italian COSMO-SkyMed constellation, a journey to as many places on the planet where nature, thanks in part to the support of space technologies, is demonstrating all its resilience, recovering habitats and spaces that only a few years ago were closed to it.

Thanks to the collaboration with IUCN Italia, the Italian branch of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, and Federparchi, which represents the system of protected areas in Italy, "Love Planet Earth" tells stories that connect the Ticino Park, in Italy, but also the protected area of the Macquarie Island in the Pacific Ocean, or Vietnam, Spain and the Galapagos Islands, to space, underlining once again the close link between technology and the necessary drive for sustainability.

The 2024 edition of the "Love Planet Earth" calendar was presented on 16 December 2023, on Italian National Space Day, and uses images from the Italian COSMO-SkyMed satellites, the result of investment and commitment by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the Italian Ministry of Defence, processed by e-GEOS.

The Love Planet Earth calendar is part of Telespazio, e-GEOS and Leonardo's broad commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability. A focus that stems from the awareness of the space sector’s close ties with protecting the environment.
