Space Panorama, a new science outreach series from Fondazione Leonardo ETS in collaboration with e-GEOS and Telespazio, takes viewers on a journey through the cutting-edge world of Italian space innovation — told firsthand by the professionals who make it possible every day.
The series launches on Tuesday, 16 September, with a first episode offering an exclusive look inside the e-GEOS Emergency Room — the operations hub that delivers rapid mapping services to support emergency response after natural disasters, aiding civil protection agencies and rescue teams around the globe.
Italy is one of the few countries in the world with a complete space supply chain — from satellite manufacturing to launch support, from Earth observation to telecommunications.
Episode by episode, Space Panorama will explore the many components that make this advanced industry thrive.
The series will spotlight both the human and technological sides of the Leonardo Group: stories and breakthroughs that are reshaping how we observe our planet and explore space, giving voice to the people driving innovation and offering a behind-the-scenes view of a sector built on research, creativity, and passion.
Each episode will highlight how space technologies improve life on Earth and help tackle today’s global challenges — from responding to climate change to advancing sustainable development, from securing communications to enabling precision farming, and even supporting space exploration missions.
Special focus will be given to the leading role of Italy’s space industry in major European programs, such as Moonlight, Copernicus, and Galileo.
New episodes will be released every Tuesday on Fondazione Leonardo’s website and social media channels, and will also be shared on e-GEOS and Telespazio’s social platforms.
