Exploration
New worlds, stars and galaxies: space exploration has always captivated humanity’s imagination, and this idea of venturing beyond the confines of Earth is a dream that has driven generations of scientists, astronauts, and enthusiasts.

Today, thanks to rapid scientific and technological advancements, we are witnessing a golden age of space exploration, with new missions, astonishing discoveries and ambitious projects awaiting us in the future.

Through the company’s experience in developing space missions and services based on innovative technologies, Telespazio is becoming a major player in space exploration, offering, for instance, analysis, design and development of end-to-end solutions to provide robust communication; navigation and time distribution services for a variety of different assets for both private and institutional clients, and supporting the scientific and commercial Space Exploration operations, both crewed and uncrewed, starting from low Earth (LEO) and Moon orbits, all the way through to Moon surface services and beyond.

ESA's Moonlight initiative

Telespazio is one of the main partners of Moonlight, the European Space Agency (ESA) initiative for the creation of Lunar Communications and Navigation Services (LCNS) and related infrastructure. Telespazio leads a consortium of satellite operators, manufacturing companies, startups and research centres that are working to support the creation of a sustainable lunar economy.

The goal of  Moonlight initiative is to enable effective lunar exploration, providing simpler, more high-performance communication and navigation services that strengthen the autonomy of Europe’s exploration and enable space companies to offer new products and services on Earth, opening new ways to inspire and engage the public, and launch new lunar exploration missions.

Telespazio also provides support services for orbiting platforms at the International Space Station (ISS) and the Lunar Gateway, offering human spaceflight training, payload integration, and space experiment support, through the relevant mission and instrument operation centre facilities, to fulfil a variety of client needs.
