Telespazio Supports PinKamP 2025: An Initiative to Engage Young Women in STEM

10 April 2025

Telespazio supports PinKamP, an initiative promoted by the University of L’Aquila and aimed at high school girls, with the goal of encouraging them to pursue studies and careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

This initiative is part of Telespazio’s ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), with a particular focus on nurturing young talent and fostering a more inclusive, innovation-driven culture. Born from the desire to spark creativity and interest among young students in the world of STEM, PinKamP targets curious, motivated girls eager to explore how technology, science, and innovation can be applied creatively and interdisciplinarily.

The 2025 edition offers 63 positions for high school girls, providing them with a unique, immersive, educational experience. The program features full accommodation and an itinerary covering five key application domains: computer science, mathematics, information engineering, physics, and industrial engineering.

Telespazio, long committed to promoting STEM education and supporting the entry of young women into study and career paths related to technological innovation, will participate in the initiative by hosting the 63 selected participants on June 25 at the Centro Spaziale del Fucino, the world’s largest civil teleport facility.

During the day, participants will have the opportunity to get up close with Telespazio’s activities and discover some of the leading technologies used in the space sector through a guided tour of the facility and testimonials from those working on the frontlines of innovation.

Through initiatives such as PinKamP, Telespazio reaffirms its commitment to a more equitable and inclusive digital and technological society, actively working to dismantle stereotypes and remove barriers that can still hinder young women’s access to scientific disciplines and innovation-driven fields.
