Sharing experiences and opinions on the value of geo-information data and services in the field of sustainable agriculture.

This is the goal of “Farmer from Space: Digital Innovation in Agriculture”, the webinar organised by e-GEOS that is to take place on Thursday, 28 January at 4 pm CET.

The meeting will address scenarios, satellite technologies and methods for managing and developing the agricultural sector, with a special focus on innovative solutions and new digital approaches capable of supporting institutions, businesses and small farmers, right through to the complex agrifood supply chain.

The event is split into two sessions. Speakers at the initial round table will include Paolo Minciacchi, CEO of e-GEOS and Head of the Geo-Information Division of Telespazio, Luigi Pasquali, CEO of Telespazio, and representatives of Bonifiche Ferraresi, AGEA, ESA, FAO, JRC EC, Geosys and Nataïs Popcorn.

The round table will be moderated by Deborah Piovan, director of Confagricoltura and spokeswoman for the Manifesto “Cibo per la mente”.

The second part of the webinar will be dedicated to the e-GEOS portfolio of sustainable precision agriculture services such as the AgriGeo platform, a solution designed to transform large amounts of satellite data into modular services with benefits in terms of the growth and yield of crops, risk assessment, the saving of resources, and environmental sustainability.
