COSMO-SkyMed, a constellation of the Italian Space Agency and Italian Ministry of Defense, realized by Leonardo companies, produced the first image from space of Genoa’s new 1067 meter bridge completed on April 28th.

e-GEOS  – a joint venture between Telespazio and the Italian Space Agency - acquired the image of the structure at 7:26pm Italian time (5:26pm UTC) yesterday, April 29.

The panoramic image, with 1 meter pixel detail, shows the bridge now completed in all its 1067 meters in length.

COSMO-SkyMed, a program financed by the Italian Space Agency and the Ministry of Defense, represents the best skills of the Italian space industry with Leonardo and its joint ventures Thales Alenia Space and Telespazio.

e-GEOS receives, processes and markets the images all over the world.
