Chief Executive Officer

Gabriele Pieralli has been CEO of Telespazio since April 2024.

He is also currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thales Alenia Space Italia.

After completing his military service in the Arma dei Carabinieri in 1997, he graduated from University of Florence in Electronic Engineering and specialized in Telecommunications. At the same time, he started his professional career joining Angelantoni Industrie, one of the world’s leading companies in environmental testing and space simulation. Two years later he was appointed Area Manager for United Kingdom & Commonwealth Countries. 

In 2001 he joined Sirio Panel (at that time a subsidiary of Marconi) and held responsibility to develop the international business as Export Sales Manager. In 2010 he was appointed as Director of Sales & Contracts. In this time frame, he also developed his education at SDA Bocconi. 

In 2014 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Sirio Panel (at that time a subsidiary of Finmeccanica) with the great challenge to lead and grow the company after the sudden death of the founder and charismatic CEO. In 2017 the company was incorporated into Leonardo as Commercial Electronics Line of Business and he was appointed as Senior Vice President Commercial Electronics. 

In 2018, he was appointed as Senior Vice President of Avionic Equipment and Electronics (AEE) Line of Business within the Airborne & Space Systems Division of Leonardo, a business across Airborne Communications, Identification, Mission & Plant Management Computers, Displays, as well as Electrical systems including Cockpit Controls, Lighting and Power Distribution. 

In February 2020, he was appointed as Senior Vice President Electronic Equipment and Communications, a new Leonardo Line of Business. 

From November 2020 to February 2021, he was appointed Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, Strategy and Competitive Analysis within the Electronics Division of Leonardo. In March 2021 he was appointed as Executive Vice President of the Electronics Division, of which he became Managing Director in September 2021.
