Drones: registrations are now open for the second edition of the "PARS" Master

Rome  30 January 2020

Registrations are now open for the second edition of the Master in "Design, Application, Regulation of Remotely Piloted Air Systems (RPAS)", organized by the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" and ENAC, in collaboration with the Italian Air Force, Telespazio and other organisations.

Even though some training initiatives already exist in the RPAS sector, they often are limited to being used for specific applications, such as cartography, or to the achievement of the pilot certificate. There are no university-level courses, conversely, treating the various aspects of interest - design, application, regulation - through an organic and detailed approach.

The PARS Master aims to educating, for the first time, a new class of specialists who, even though starting from their disciplinary and sectorial educational area, are able to design RPAS-based processes and knowledge systems suited to match the reference operational processes.

The entrants who will achieve the Master's degree and will successfully pass the practical skill test with an ENAC examiner, will contextually receive the RPA pilot certificate, issued by a Training centre authorized by ENAC and affiliated with the Master. This will allow them to immediately enter the job market in the drone sector with competence and professionalism.

The development of new-generation integrated services based on the use of drones, and also of services supporting drone fleets, is one of the growth objectives of Telespazio. For Telespazio, supporting the PARS Master represents a valuable tool to support the growth of the technical, technological and regulatory skills associated with the RPAS sector in the national context.

The deadline for registrations is set for March 31st, 2020.
