Telespazio, on the strength of national (ASI, MISE) or international (EC, ESA) funding, carries out R&D activities for the development of new telecommunication, navigation or geo-information products based on emerging solutions or technologies (AI, Deep Learning) or aimed at the development of emerging markets (drones, linked vehicles)

The Innovation Award is an initiative aimed at valorising the knowledge and know-how corpus, consolidating the innovation culture and strengthening attention to internal intellectual property by promoting synergies among the different industrial sectors of the Group and by stimulating the generation of highly innovative design ideas

The Coliseum Archaeological Park connects with the public thanks to a new WiFi network realised by Telespazio

The Coliseum Archaeological Park is now accessible to all users through the Web for free thanks to the installation of four Hot Spots positioned near the approaches to the main monuments: at the Arch of Titus, in Largo della Salara Vecchia, at the Palatine museum and at the Coliseum, where they are locate near the bookshop and along the whole bowl of the second order.

Safer drones over cities: Telespazio tests new satellite technologies

Telespazio has successfully carried out, within the purview of the Torino City Lab/DORALab initiative, promoted by the Piedmontese capital in collaboration with ENAC, TIM and the Turin Polytechnic, a campaign of experimental flights (Full Flight View) with several RPAS (Remote Piloting Aircraft System) platforms. The tests have been carried out using the aircraft of our partner ADPM Drones, equipped with technologies provided by Telespazio, e-GEOS, DBW Communication and MPB.

Telespazio has been confirmed as the operator of the ASINet network of the Italian Space Agency

The Italian Space Agency (ASI) has assigned to Telespazio, a joint venture between Leonardo (67%) and Thales (33%), the management of the operations and maintenance of the ASINet network, which ensures communications among the national and international centres engaged in the space missions involving Italian participation.
