Communauté des Villes Ariane: Telespazio partner of the city of Toulouse

Toulouse  07 February 2017

The City of Toulouse will this year be chairing the Community of Ariane Cities (CVA: Communauté des Villes Ariane), founded in 1998, with Telespazio France as its industry partner.

To mark this event, on 30 January Toulouse Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc kicked off a year in which space will be centre stage and Toulouse will be the focal point of the European community of cities working in this emblematic sector.

The ceremony was presided over by Carlo des Dorides, Director General of the European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA), Philippe Brunet, Director of Aerospace, Maritime, Security and Defence Industries within the European Commission’s Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry, and Jean-Marc Gardin, Chairman & CEO of Telespazio France and Deputy CEO of the Telespazio group.

Jean-Marc Gardin said: “Telespazio France is proud of its Toulouse roots and of its partnership with the City of Toulouse since 2010 through the CVA, and proud to be the industry partner that will be helping to make Toulouse, Europe’s space capital, a global hub driving development of space applications and services. This presidency of the CVA and all of the events surrounding it are emblematic commitments that the space ecosystem needs to make to rise to the challenges ahead.”
