Telespazio and Agenzia Spaziale Italiana organise the Summer School “SAR Applications in Image Processing”

The Italian Space Agency (ASI), Telespazio’s
Space Operations Academy, the University
and Polytecnic of Bari, the University of
Basilicata and AIPAS (the Italian association
of small and medium-sized aerospace companies)
have together organised a specialist
residential Summer School on SAR applications
in image processing. The first course will
be held from 1 to 11 July 2008.
The project was a desire of Telespazio, the Italian Space Agency and the Italian association of small space companies to work with the University and Polytechnic of Bari and the University of Basilicata to share their international experiences and know-how in earth observation.

The lessons, which form the central module
of the Master’s in Remote Sensing Technologies,
will be based on real case studies and will
be held entirely at the ASI Geodesia “Bepi
Colombo” Centre and the Telespazio Space
Centre in Matera, where the next applications
of the COSMO-SkyMed programme will be managed.
