Copernicus: Sentinel-5P satellite launched successfully. Set to monitor the Earth's atmosphere conditions

The Sentinel-5P satellite - part of the ESA's Copernicus Earth observation programme - was launched successfully today at 9:27 GMT from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in Russia, using a Rockot carrier. This is the first Copernicus mission dedicated to monitoring the atmosphere.

The OPTSAT-3000 Earth observation satellite of the Italian Defence has been successfully launched

The Italian Ministry of Defence's OPTSAT-3000 satellite has been successfully launched at 1.58 UTC. The launch has been performed by Arianespace from the Kourou European spaceport in the French Guyana, with a VEGA European launcher. The whole system is supplied by Leonardo through Telespazio.
